It's not like we're short of seats at the moment though so why change?

Can't believe people are taking the Arnu bait here!! He will claim he is being serious but this is Arnu doing his best to keep the forum moving, he doesn't believe most of this nonsense!! Seats in the sieve and/or an all seater stadium. At Dagenham!! Ridiculous!!!

Lupins, in answer to your question I would say it's a two way thing isn't it. And one of the things lacking in the last few years has been that two way connection between the pitch and the terraces (or seats). Hopefully things will continue from Saturday and that connection will build up again.

The buzz around the place was evident from kick off. The lads seemed to immediately be up for the fight and Manny set the tone by strongarming the beanpole out of the way in minute 1 - no more easy rides, we are here to compete physically. The fans seemed in great spirits maybe due to Friday and also the provided beers, it just all seemed to come together. Hope this is a corner turned.

Alan talks sense about the seats. A lot of people who go to Premiership hate sitting down, the people at the back of the TBS/A13 stand appear to dislike sitting down, hundreds of people who come and watch with me in the shed/seive love to stand up (which is why they do it), the away fans seem to prefer standing, and it's no surprise that there is a big push at top level clubs right now to introduce safe standing areas. We have plenty of empty seats in the ground for the people that prefer to sit down. New owners - if you are reading this please don't ever consider making the stadium all seater.

Bloody Dashwood you got me lol!

If seating was as cheap as standing we'd fill more seats I reckon.

Arnu is only concerned with one thing. The roof over the Bury Road End.

In all seriousness Dashers, Craig and Pete are closely monitoring the comments on social media so Arnu needs to be careful with his mischief nowadays for it might just accidentally come true! ;-)

Get the facilities right, get the team competing and the social media / advertising up to standard then it follows that people may return. 700 regulars from the league 1 days have gone. Make the tbs our end and stick a roof over bury road end and maybe I wasn't talking shite after all. I'd put seats in the sieve as well you can stand at the back if you're that bothered. In all the years I been going to daggers I only ever had a piss once (2008)Toilets are awful rather piss myself than use them. The catering is awful too, you'd think the yanks would recognise a good burger if they saw one. It's all good though , it seems at last somebody is gonna smarten up our act.
Now there's a man with a strong bladder, not been for a piss in ten years 😁

The psychology of standing I think is interesting. I watched football in the 80s and standing was just what you did on the terrace. I'm quite happy to do it now as I did on the terrace for the cup game but my kids moan if they ever have to stand now which is maybe my fault (ST in A13) but I notice whereas lots of people at the back of the A13 do stand ,in recent weeks with the team doing badly and no atmosphere (save for Saturday and a few other games) then they've sat down. Conclusion: the modern football fan will stand but likes the option of sitting!
