Terribly sad to see this news at the weekend.

Dave was a constant presence at the Club from the time of the merger, and will be greatly missed. He led the Club, along with a group of others, to places that most fans would never have dreamed of, a modern day football miracle in many ways, alongside what was done by Wimbledon and Leicester.

I always remember him being very down to earth and always having time to chat to everyone and anyone at the Club. I can recall games at Morecambe (the Conference play off semi) and Basingstoke (the Cup game where Robbo equalised) where he spent the entire game on the terraces in the middle of the Daggers support, living every moment with them. But I think my favourite memory will be of Dave, Ted Hardy and Thommo celebrating in the Royal Box at Wembley on that day in May 2010.

Best wishes and condolences to his family and friends at this time.
