Re: Club Statement

At least the club have offered a quick response to the situation. Short in detail as to what will happen but that is not surprising as we were relegated Less than 24 hours ago. Glad that Dan Hall was there to see the match, I wonder what he will report back to the board.
It was disappointing to ...

Re: Message from the Chairman

Thought it was a good interview by both participants. Felt the Chairman was honest and transparent enough to concede that Bens departure could have been handled better. Despite some parties negativity towards the owners I felt quite encouraged by what was said. A positive interview.

Re: York City away

Totally agree Ien. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but why sink to gutter level with the language we used to express those opinions.

Re: Millwall away FA cup

It was noticeable that Millwall employed two very wide players on both sides of the pitch going forward and we didn't have a way of combatting that. Haven't seen Millwall play before but I guess this is their normal strategy and if so, and we had done our homework, we should have worked out a way to ...

Re: Next manager options

The reason why he left Braintree was that he was driving them into administration because of his reckless spending and that's why Effiong left. They were getting into debt and something had to change.

Re: Ben Strevens

A good honest analysis of Ben's departure. None of us know if it was a good or bad decision and time will tell but most supporters will have a lot of sympathy for the guy who is truly a Dagger at heart. What has been disappointing recently has been the amount of verbal abuse that has been thrown ...

Re: Strevens gone

Sad to see Ben go. An honest guy who loved Daggers but just didn’t have what it takes to create a winning team. Wish him all the best wherever he ends up.

Re: Braintree home

NB Dag, I don’t know who you are and I hope I never meet you but I would like to know what team you support because it certainly isn’t the Daggers. When a team is struggling it doesn’t need abuse, it needs encouragement and support. This forum seems to be a platform for abuse and criticism and is ...

Essex Senior Cup

Just watched the Daggers outplay a poor Colchester side. The 1-0 victory gives no indication of how superior we were in all departments. Neither of our goalkeepers had a save to make whereas the U'S keeper was in constant action. We had a young trialist in mid field but he failed to impress. Vigrass ...

Re: FA Cup

Great trip up the A12. Lovely little ground with a good clubhouse. Good to see plenty of Daggers supporters boosting the crowd to over 600 when it’s usually just over 100. Game was very competitive and Leiston gave a good account of themselves even if they are a couple of divisions below. At 1-1 I ...

Daggers Programmes

Hi,
Have a large number of previous Daggers Programmes which I need to clear out but don't want to throw away. Go back 10 years and are in excellent condition. If anyone is interested please let me know before the Mrs throws them out.

Re: Programme

Apparently we have recruited a chief scout who will attend 3-4 elite academy level games down to Step 5 as well as 3 recruitment analysts who are highly skilled in football data and technology who will attend 2 games a week. This means between them they will view 10 games a week which is a huge step ...

Programme

Bought a programme at the West Ham match and was pleased to see it had reverted back to its old size. Not only that the content was much much better and it contained some very interesting news about new developments in the clubs scouting set up, the new owners are certainly making some positive ...

Re: Aveley Friendly

Two penalties given away and two gifted defensive errors. Nos 24 and 25 looked impressive. Aveley much quicker than us but may have been back longer.

Re: Fans Forum

To me the match day experience is not as important as playing good football and winning. The quality of food has been mentioned on previous occasions but personally I can see nothing wrong with it. Wednesday was a very encouraging meeting although some of the questions asked were a little bit out of ...
