Re: Squad For New Season
Incredibly worrying result for me that, getting battered by a team that finished bottom of this league, last season.
The question for me with Hemmings, and those 30 league goals last season is: What did he have around him on the pitch last season, compared to this ?.
There will have been no point ...

Re: New Owners?
From the email received 5th June.........
We can share that the Club’s Chairman, Daniel Hall, plans to step down from his role. We thank him for his service and commitment to Dagenham & Redbridge FC during his tenure.

Looks like a really solid choice, knows the division, 7 years Manager at Bath, including 3 play off finishes, he looks like a respectable appointment.
Is there a chance that these new mystery owners actually know what the hell there doing ?....

Re: Lee Bradbury
Yeah, it's a solid choice.
Had we done this move in January, pretty certain we would of stayed up.
Now back him with a reasonable budget, and let's try and get this club moving
forward again.

Re: Who would be the right man in charge next season?
No idea if he is or isn't amongst those still in the running, but what is the negativity around Phil Brown based mainly on ?.
He is a massively experienced manager, with some good seasons & some bad seasons on his cv.
If we are just going on recent evidence, he was at Kidderminster last season, and ...

Re: Who would be the right man in charge next season?
Say what you like about John Still, but that would be an absolute gauranteed top 6 finish next season.
Him with Currie isn't a bad shout.
Gray or Barrett would both be respectable choices, as would Garrard, if doesn't get get promoted with Borehamwood.

Re: NL: Southend United (H) 12 August 2023
They should at the VERY LEAST be starting with a 10 point reduction.
Don't pay anybody for 3 months, whilst all the other 23 clubs are being run correctly, yet they start on level points.
Absolute joke by the NL.

Re: That's More Like It
Yep, a good win for Jekyll & Hyde FC, but we have all been here more than enough times to know the "couldn't be bothered today" performance is just around the corner.
Let's all hope Strevs isn't fooled by what he has seen tonight, and shows the door to the majority of this mob in a few weeks time ...

Some excellent points here... My understanding, however is that the timing of this move was as it was primarily because Daryl got wind of us sounding out an individual to replace him. Personally have very little faith that the 'wait it out and get the best option' route will be taken here ...

Re: Wrexham (H) Thread
They’re literally a league one team playing two leagues below, thankfully they’ll go up this seasons so we don’t have to put up with the circus next year. We had the two best chances on the first half and didn’t take them and that was that. Didn’t see the last half an hour as I left, whole season ...

Re: New Manager
I read today that Oxford United have received 130 applicants for their vacant manager's job.
I previously applied for the Daggers managerial vacancy. I’m not currently planning to apply this time as I have other job offers pending.
Shame Merge, with the calibre of Manager that Thommo is ...
