Re: Ashley Hemmings

Could be a good signing although I am not too good at picking out good strikers. I thought Jamie Cureton was too old when we signed him. 'Nuff said.

Re: George Marsh signs

Had 1 really good season at the Dons but then his form fell away when the Dons got relegated the next season.
Has been in Cyprus and NI since then but has not shone.
He certainly was well thought of when he left Spurs and it may be he has lost confidence.
If he can resurrect his form we would ...

Re: Hills Gone

Ryan Hill was just annoying, always looking to wind up the opposition and looking for the foul rather than concentrating on end product. When he first arrived he looked very promising but never lived up to that promise.
Lawless shows promise and worth another contract. If we just worried about ...

Re: Retained List

Disappointed that Sam Ling has been released as he was always good value as a defender. No doubt a National League side will pick him up, maybe even Southend.

Re: Who would be the right man in charge next season?

From reading the comments I have this feeling of deja vu.
While we did not have the electronic forum then I can still remember the comments made when we got relegated in 1996 and how the club could disappear if we did not get things right.
I also remember that there was no great enthusiasm when we ...

Re: Boston

Agree with everything that has been said in previous comments. Very depressing but at least I had a laugh when they announced Rendall was man of the match I just wonder how this was decided. It certainly was not by anybody that watched the game - MOM was easily our goalkeeper.

Re: Junior returns

I was thinking only the other day how little game time Junior has had at Notts County. They had a lot of options for strikers and maybe his style did not fit in. Therefore this loan may have come at the right time for him.

Re: More signings

Nik Tavares also spent nearly a season without playing but came back looking strong. The guy has talent we will have to see whether he can resurrect his career.

Re: The Released Players Thread

Of the Bromley players still not signed I would rather have Topalloj than Reynolds. When we had him on loan he looked to have a lot of potential and we need a left sided defender. However think Bromley will make sure they keep him.

Re: First Signing of the season.

Agree about Rutherford. When I have seen him play he looks more like a wing back than a full back. He will definitely bring a lot of energy to wherever he plays and he is young enough to improve.

Rendall also has a lot of potential and would seem to be a replacement for Longe-King in the squad ...

Re: North Sixth Group

Having looked at play off highlights Ollie Pearce would be one to look at to bring up from lower leagues. Even if Inih does sign we would still need another striker and Pearce would look like a good partner up front as he looked very mobile.

Re: Retained List

There is no mention of Aaron Blair. I thought he was only on loan to Braintree.
However, having looked at the highlights of Braintree v Chelmsford City I cannot see him cutting it in National League.

Re: Altrincham home

The surprising thing about the performances in the last few matches is the improvement of the midfield and the way it competes now.
Josh Rees, while he still has his moments of ineptness, has changed from the player of earlier in the season that seemed not to have any idea of what to do to one that ...

Re: Rochdale..

From the highlights it does seem that we kept them very quiet in the second half. Usually check out the highlights issued by the opposition as it gives a more balanced view, this shows that Rochdale didn't make many chances and also includes the 2 shots by Pereira that produced good saves from their ...
