Re: Thompson steps down
In my few dealings over the years with Steve Thompson I have always found him pleasant, professional and helpful. What I cannot understand is the absolute character assassination on here.
All of this is merely hearsay and meaningless as who can say any of this is true because the people often ...

Re: KSI purchases the club
He’s a shareholder and strategic partner. Exactly how it should be. This bloke knows how to engage the younger generation better than anyone in the country. But he won’t be entirely responsible for decisions over the manager. The real money funding us will come from elsewhere.
I’d bet that this is ...

Re: New Owners Announced
How much of a slice of the club does ST own? Is it enough he can't just be fired?
He owns next to nothing unless he managed to get a revised stake in this new consortium. But he is employed by the club and it is not easy (or cheap) to dismiss someone in this country without serious cause to ...

Re: Thompson steps down
This is probably the most important thing to happen to the club since we narrowly avoided going out of business altogether. Think we could all say so many different things about the situation, but I’ll just say it’s long overdue. Really, really, really long overdue. So a huge credit goes to Anwar ...

Re: Totton (h))
You have a week at work and you want to be entertained on a Saturday afternoon. Gary Hill giants, those supporters at Charlton that glorious day 25 years ago, couldn't think it could get any better than that. John Still fantastic team that took us into the football league, With the structure in ...

Going to go for 1-0 down at half time, 1-0 down at full time, and another injury. The usual, really.

Re: League 2 Wages
Doesn’t shock me at all if it’s true. We are probably paying a considerably higher average wage now than what we were in our last league two season, despite being 2 leagues below and the players 10 times more useless,
We’re just as mad as the rest of the progressional clubs, unfortunately.

Re: Players Contracts.
Well what a cracking bit of business it was to sign Marsh and Dieng for 2 years. It’s like Hessenthaler & N’Guessan all over again but somehow even worse.
I completely understand the thoughts on Haigh, there would also be strong calls for Young to be extended too. But also there is a case that if ...

Re: New Owners Announced
Grabowski has been at the club for 18 months as our marketing director, was an underdog hire.
Obviously this is an underwhelming development, but I don’t think any takeover news could have really made us happy given how poor they always end up being. So I’m expecting it to happen again with this ...

Re: FEBRUARY POLL: Sack Bradbury now?
I mean what are the options for a replacement?
Call it a hot take but I don't think anybody should call for the sacking of a manager without confirming who they want as a replacement and why. Just shouting 'He ShOuLd Be FiReD' is Talksport vibes.
Exactly!!! It’s a bit like when everyone was ...

Re: Horsham (a)
Extremely poor refereeing cost us the game tonight. What was Sam Howes sent off for does anybody know?
The absolute ******** retard kicked out at the player who fouled him instead of rolling around and winding down the clock. Should it have been a penalty? No. But do our idiot players and ...

Re: When do we get to see the New Owners?
Situation is not good atm - club couldn’t even source a correct size player shirt for the arsenal lad, had to get an xl tailored for him
Funds are very tight as it stands
Pissing money up the wall when we don’t actually have it yet… Colour me surprised, it’s not like ST doesn’t have previous ...

Re: When do we get to see the New Owners?
Obviously yes there are NDAs in place, but there are still usually hints around that tell you something is going on. When Trinity came in they were seen around the club by staff prior to announcement. When CU came in the fans had worked it out before announcement too. But everyone has absolutely ...

Re: When do we get to see the New Owners?
Apparently KSI was set to take up a “marketing” role within the club. Whether that’s true or not I don’t know. 🤷♂️
It not true. Nothing is happening behind the scenes! It’s been over 6 months and we don’t even have a name. It’s not happening, and if it is I’d be worried. Look at Punjab ...
