Re: Harry Phipps
If we can’t get Phippsy to stay, who is Dagenham through and through, then **** knows how we’d expect to keep hold of Hilly, Rutherford, or anyone else on our books worth a damn. A massive disappointment and it’s unforgivable that the club is in a position where it’s possible for us to lose someone ...

Re: The signings continue...
We can’t pluck kids out of nowhere for two reasons. 1) we are nowhere. We’d have to be plucking them off of our competitors like we did with Young, and that will come at a price. 2) we haven’t got a record of doing this successfully for years. What kids have we turned into established players higher ...

Re: The signings continue...
Played a full 90 once last season. Last started a game in September, last played in Feb. No doubt his CV reads for someone who could do incredibly well for this level, but it also reads for someone who could barely feature because of fitness.

Re: Retained List
Hector & Hessenthaler gone is great news. As for Umerah, N’Guessan and Harrack I expect and hope that they move on. Just going to be tough to find someone stupid to take the latter two. Thanks again James King.

Re: New Owners?
Agreed, it won’t make any difference as it’s clear we are stuck in a repeating cycle of failure still with Thommo here.
On the topic of the statement though. Hall is clearly done. But it reads like he has been sacked rather than the club is being sold. As it says he’s “stepping down” in advance of ...

Re: New Owners?
Honestly what a shit show. It doesn’t seem like something to worry about though or players/managers wouldn’t be walking through the door.
Just got to let the dust settle on this one and see. Mad how experienced we must all feel in going through this stuff. 5th ownership saga in 10 years? Yet one ...

Re: New Signing
Looks like they were both together at Eastleigh alongside Rutherford and Hill. Would be nice if we can have the quartet together again this season too.
Looks like he was a bit short on minutes last season though, so I’m glad we have only gone for a one year deal here. Could underdog be learning?

Re: Lee Bradbury
All very positive but the line he came out with " We've got a good board here" rings alarm bells for me.
He must have heard how awfully they treated Strevs, Justham and us the fans.
And their destruction of a mid table at worst group of players last season.
I'm all for supporting the new guy but ...

Re: Who would be the right man in charge next season?
I have been told, by someone present, that, at the AGM last night everyone was informed that 34 credible applicants had applied, 8 were shortlisted . This was reduced to 4 who were being interviewed yesterday/ today with an announcement likely on Monday.
Shows how serious the full members are ...

Re: Who would be the right man in charge next season?
We are a shambles. The damage Dan Hall and Steve Thompson have done and are continuing to do to this club is sickening.
We have confirmed a preseason fixture in 6 weeks, which we know will not be our first one either, and currently we have no manager, 10 players contracted to the club (at least 3 ...

I genuinely don't understand the above dialogue, Lee Bradbury this; someone turned down that.

Re: Who would be the right man in charge next season?
Scopes isn’t terrible, but for me he’s a risky pick as he has never managed professionally. Now Gray is out the picture (which is a complete embarrassment for the club), I don’t really care anymore. There is no amazing pick out there for us. As long as it’s not Phil Brown, I’d rather n’Guessan takes ...

Re: Who would be the right man in charge next season?
Matt Gray has just been announced as the new Eastbourne manager… By all accounts we actually interviewed him last week and he said no to us, which then sparked this new statement/wave of interviews for the also-rans.
Unfortunately this is our level now, we can’t compete with Eastbourne.

As a number of you have said you won’t
be renewing your season tickets and you don’t stop moaning, why are you so concerned
about our next manager
I am shocked you have the balls to comment on here again after your last few posts.

Re: Season ticket prices
Aha I see.
So how they gonna police that?
Within weeks I'm sure it'll just be a free for all. I wonder if we'll be able to move into the sieve at half time?
They’re not going to let fans move between the TBS and sieve despite ticket prices being the same and there being a gate which makes it ...
