Re: Aldershot Home
On the subs situation, don't think Oscar was fit enough to come on, Vigrass is a kid, Remy probably isn't good enough and that just leaves Stephenson who is a viable change. Don't think he wanted to bring Rees on either but his hand was forced.

Re: Tamworth Away
Getting an early train up. Have had plenty of away days called off over the years, beers and chat always make it a good day regardless. Won't be much of a spectacle in that weather but oh well. Just hope the return train runs!

Re: Barnet home
Incredibly disappointing but predictable for us to throw away that lead. Something like 17 points thrown away already this season. We seemed to run out of steam entirely today. Whether it is physical or mental I am not sure but having barely forced a save out of El all day, they could've had two mor...

Re: 11 wins in 38 Games
We play like we've got nothing in us away from home. 20 goals in 8 home games, 7 in 9 away games says it all. I don't understand why we always look so slow and laboured away. It's like all the life has been sucked out of them. What I do know is that it isn't good enough. We can talk about injuries b...

Re: Oldham Athletic
Injuries or not, we can't keep having these games where we don't lay a glove on the opponent. Yeovil was the same. We have good players in most positions and are capable of scoring a lot of goals. But we have far too many off days and it was the same under Daryl beforehand. The injury situation has ...

Re: Eastleigh home
Thought the decision to start Phipps and Hill instead of PK and Dion was frankly ridiculous. Having said that I would definitely have put Phipps in midfield instead of Hessenthaler. We got bullied by a big, strong, hard working but very cynical side for most of the game. They fully deserved their po...

Re: Fylde home
They're a bad side with a couple of good players. Absolutely must win. Dion has had a very hard week so I'd be shocked if he can start today and Tuesday. Sounds like Phipps and Hess are both back. Some big calls for Strevs to make in midfield. We've tried several combinations but for me we cannot af...

Re: FA Cup
They've got a handful of old pros who might be capable of raising their game for one last hurrah.
In reality though there's no excuse for anything other than a resounding win, injuries or not. The gulf in quality between these two levels is huge.

Re: Solihull Moors (Home)
CM will continue to be a problem area I think. Remember we needed to recruit Akinola because we had no legs or ball carrying in there and he's out for a while. Based solely on what I've seen this season so far, Phipps has probably been our second best CM behind Akinola. If Easty returns soon I'd be ...

Re: Solihull Moors (Home)
Thought we should've been out of sight before they scored. On another day it's 4-0 before they've even woken up. An incredibly frustrating side to play against especially after they equalised. Very similar to Gateshead in that respect except today we didn't take our chances to give them what they de...

Re: Solihull Moors (Home)
Solihull seem like a relatively poor outfit this year. They've been hammered by some of the better sides and failed to beat or squeaked past some of the lesser ones. Having said that, you'd think inconsistent Wilko will be absolutely bang up for this today, and with Eastman out he could very easily ...

Re: National League Cup
I can only assume the PL have agreed to throw some money in for this thing because I have no idea what else NL clubs have to gain from it. I would be shocked if we sell more than 500 tickets per game. It certainly isn't a money spinning glamour competition. Obviously on the PL side, they get competi...

Re: Gateshead (H) Thread
Tough side to play against. They make the game quite tedious by keeping it amongst their back 4 for minutes on end, daring you to come and get it. It's a mental battle as much as anything else.

Re: Sutton (H)
National League aren't famed for sense. In a couple of weeks, a number of clubs have to do 2 long haul Saturday/Tuesday away trips. We never get more than 1300 on a Tuesday night. Sutton tend to bring about 300. So maybe we'll scrape 1200. Sutton are no great shakes but without Akinola and presumabl...
