Re: Fylde home

Perfect result, another clean sheet, goals throughout the team and Dion didn't have to start and finish the game.

Re: FA Cup

I said before the game we needed to be ahead at half time then pull away late on... Real grit shown after they got back in to the game and the weather fell apart but we kept our heads and looked decent going forward again at the end. After the 5-5 in the National League Cup it was the attack that wa...

Re: FA Cup

Just for some context, they went out of the FA Trophy to Horsham at the weekend... A comfortable win, ahead at half time and pulling away second half is a minimum requirement.

Re: National League Cup

No idea how many people watched yesterday's game, but what on earth was that second half collapse? It wasn't just watching Spurs get back to 5-5 from 4-1 and 5-3 behind, but they missed two almost open goals and three other easy chances in the last ten minutes of the game alone. I appreciate we didn...

FA Cup

Potential Away draw against Hornchurch, depending on how they get on with their replay against Leiston tomorrow... No arguments with that draw.

Re: Solihull Moors (Home)

A tougher game than the table suggested with Solihull having won their prior three on the road, all against decent opposition, but they should have been dead and buried by half time after so many clear-cut chances put straight down the middle. Reverted to type a bit with our inefficiency in both bo...

Re: Gateshead (H) Thread

Glad HP got a mention... not necessarily a guaranteed statue in any position in our best XI but solid in defence, scored some goals last year as a makeshift striker and held it down well in midfield the last couple of games. Absolutely essential player for a squad like ours that has had injury probl...

Re: Sutton (H)

Took the train for once so I have to spend the 48 stops on The District Line doing something,😉Well worked opener slightly against the run of play but another good finish from Rees. Nice to get the cushion of a two goal lead for once and then we sort of invited Sutton to score for a good ten minute ...

Re: Inih Effiong

Different worlds in terms of budgets but a 70% fit Bonne and the recent signing of KAP, as well as previously getting Josh Walker on board is a huge step up from our current crop of strikers and Chelsea-style squad of midfielders who we can't keep fit. This is also bearing in mind that Harry Cardwel...

Re: Keenan Appiah-Forson

All a lot of rumours flying around. But from what I’ve heard it’s fully him that messed up and not us. We offered the money, the playing time and everything else. But he wanted more and when he realised he couldn’t get that elsewhere he came back to us but we said no. Silly kid who needs to learn h...

What to add about our lack of attacking quality this season? Then you receive a text from a work colleague in Barnet telling you his side have stock seven away this afternoon!

Re: Southend Away

Even if you want to sure things up defensively you take off an attacking player and put on an extra midfielder or defender... To remove ANY wide threat in the game was absolutely managerial suicide when we lost all of our options to keep hold of possession and get the ball up the other end of the pi...

Re: Woking (a) Thread

Easy to say in hindsight, but as mentioned above training should identify, surely the Junior is wasted as a lone striker and Ling is the best option we have at right back... training also HAS to identify weaknesses in that midfield 3... these aren't the grumbling of annoyed fans, these are the views...
