Re: TAMPLIN DEAL BACK ON?????????
Well, perhaps it was true after all. Still wouldn't want him within spitting distance of the club mind you. And since when did he become a football chairman. Phwoar- can't take away from the fact that he's actually given such a great sum of money. But that's a PR stunt to win us over if I've ever s...

Re: TAMPLIN DEAL BACK ON?????????
Not sure that many would agree on the ease with which he would find similarly paid work or that his age would be a positive factor. Seems like the council love him, sure they wouldn't say no to taking him on if a position became vacant. Didn't word myself properly there- what I meant to say was tha...

Re: TAMPLIN DEAL BACK ON?????????
Mike- I don't know why the investment is needed, and I doubt anyone on this forum actually does know. Not have an idea, but know. However my point was, and is, that it's nonsense to say that Thommo is doing this on purpose to line his own pockets. I'm sure if he was out of a job he would still find...

Re: TAMPLIN DEAL BACK ON?????????
Think we can all agree that Tamplin's initial deal, assuming that what we heard was true, didn't seem like he was a good choice to take us forward. But I think it is utter nonsense to believe that Thomson is acting within his own interests and not the club's. We may not like him after the past 2 sea...

Re: Lifetime Achievement Award
It's a lifetime achievement award, not a past year achievement award. Like him or not, you cannot deny what Thommo has achieved with this club over his time here.

Re: Tamplin has pulled out?
If this is true then good riddance to him. If he genuinely cared about the club and was in it to help the club, then he wouldn't give a shit about what we say on here.

The chant belongs to the Iceland fans, don't get why anyone would try and copy it. Would just look tragic like when all the City fans started doing the Poznan.

I don't get why you're saying all this, I wasn't disagreeing with you. I only said that they stated his wealth in that letter in order to address what people were saying about him in previous threads.

Is this informal meeting on Wednesday open to non-members then? And they publicly said what he was worth because of the people on here saying that he was worth £98k. So I'm guessing they were trying to show him to be more credible than what he was being made out to be. Nobody on here knows what he'...

Re: Dwight Gayle
Never quite understood why he didn't get more games at Palace. His goal scoring record was pretty decent for the level, and I think he even finished as their top scorer one year!
Going from Dagenham to a club like Newcastle in 4 years is amazing though. Jamie Vardy eat your heart out!!!

Re: Club Statement at last
Where has this son playing on the pitch actually come from? What concrete evidence have we actually seen for this before making a judgement? Seeing as it now seems a lot of bollocks has already been said about the bloke already? I get the impression on here some are just fearing the unknown. We stil...

Re: Club Statement at last
Hmm not sure what to make of this. It certainly has talked up Tamplin and his offer quite a bit. However I think it would be reassuring to hear from the man himself. Ultimately, all we can do is ask ourselves whether we trust the board or not. I personally do trust them (with this sort of decision) ...
