Re: Triallists
I can never understand why trialists are always anonymous on the assumption that they are free agents. What's the big secret? Presumably they have shown something to be given a trial and if it doesn't work out it might still alert other clubs at a similar or slightly lower level to give them a chance.

Re: Season tickets holders
Does anybody know when our season tickets will be issued?

Re: Chesterfield (A)
Sorry to say but I thought we were poor on Saturday. Could have lost by 4 or 5 but might have won 2-1 if it wasn't for two appalling refereeing decisions. We look rudderless without Balanta. I still believe we need a fairly drastic overhaul of the squad if we are to compete at the top next season. I...

Re: Stockport (A)
Outstanding performance but robbed by some poor refereeing. At least two clear cut penalties turned down.

Re: Barnet (A)
Best performance by a country mile this season. i shall two things I never thought I'd say Wright was outstanding and Reynolds looked almost capable. I suppose though it's difficult to judge against poor opposition albeit a team that has improved a lot recently. The next two games should be gimmes w...

Re: Brutal
It was nice to see a comfortable win at last - for the first time this season. I don't think we missed Rance at all and nor, alas, Gordon. I have bitterly critical of McCallum all season because I know he can do a lot more that he has ever shown for Daggers which has been zero until last night. So t...

Re: Bromley (A)
Oddly enough probably our best league performance of the season albeit against a terrible Bromley side. We had 14 corners to their 2 and a huge amount of possession. The difference is that had 2 chances and Cheek scores one and we have about 9 chances and McCallum misses five of them. I really don't...

Re: Aldershot (H)
Sorry don't agree about Balanta at all. His ball control and ability to spot a telling pass are streets ahead of the rest though he can be too subtle for them at times. He has never been an out and out striker but has usually played behind a front two. He is being forced to play further up because i...

Re: Aldershot (H)
If it really is the intention of the owners to get us into the league I'm afraid a total clear out of players is required. Of the current squad only Justham and Balanta could play consistently at a higher level. Maybe Weston ( but he's 33) , maybe Robbo ( but may not be interested with other irons i...

Hartlepool
Probably should have drawn the game . Although they had some decent penalty shouts - and we had one - Justham didn't have a save to make apart from the two that went past him, both the result of timid defending. Again we have no cutting edge and McCullum's complete failure to win the ball in the air...

Re: Torquay (H)
Fully agree with Sussex's assessment. Our main strikers i.e. McCullum, McQueen and Wilson have scored 7 goals in a total of 68 league appearances this season which must be some sort of record. We are almost totally reliant on Justham and Balanta but to be fair our recent - relative- improvement also...

Re: Hartlepool
I'm afraid I can't get too excited about last night either. Hartlepool have been doing well but actually have struggled to get good results against some of the also rans - Weymouth and Kings Lynn. Their budget is smaller than ours and they had three players out last night. I know we did too but that...

Re: Signings, signings and more bloody signings
I agree. It's all very odd. How do we suddenly release a player who was deemed good enough to play only on Tuesday. He didn't set the world on fire but was hardly the worst and certainly - based on what I've seen - the equal to Vilhete, and the new guy who has no experience at this level. We can't s...

Re: Maidenhead
I'm finally convinced that Johnson is a good player and relieved that Balanta seems back to nearly his best. Clark too for some reason has looked more solid. I'm glad Mccallum poked a couple over the line which might boost his confidence but I'm not persuaded he holds the ball up or leads the line w...

Re: Boreham Wood (H)
More commitment, fight and mobility in evidence compared with not so long ago. But defence still needs a complete overhaul before next season and can we please get a striker. McCallum should have been off after 60 minutes in this to be replaced by Wilson who at least looks interested and puts in a s...
