Re: Altrincham
Unforgivable and unacceptable performance against part timers who have barely won a game this year. No Sagaf in the starting line up again although when he came on showed more energy than the rest put together and he actually hit a post. What's Ben Strevens doing at the moment?

Re: Sideways pass crab football loada shit
As others have said we seem to have completely run out of ideas and tactical nous. Woking knew they could get something and went for it and got it even with ten men. Our recruitment policy seems odder and odder. The difference between Hare and Ling is what exactly? Or between Rance, Comley Robinson ...

Re: George Saunders
Best wishes to Saunders. As breaks go it doesn't sound as bad as it might have been thankfully and there is talk of him being back for pre season. His injury and the disgraceful antics in the sieve did deflect from a performance, particularly in the first half, which was as bad as it could get. If t...

Re: Time for Daryl to go?
The stark truth is that our results under McMahon have been mediocre at best I'm afraid. Some flattering results at the end of what was an effectively dead season last term and a bit of momentum from that spilling over into this and that is about it. Indeed some performances last season e.g. away to...

Re: Halifax (H) Thread
Picked the wrong team to start with. There is no way Sagaf should be left out ever and Saunders is omitted who to all intents and purposes won us the game on Tuesday. For some odd reason Morais was playing in the midfield and surely Akinbyi who has 3 goals in three completed games could have been gi...

Re: Stockport (H)
I don't know why Zouma was absent yesterday but he has made a big difference since joining and I don't think they would have got the start they did if he had been present. Wright might be ok as a conventional right back but he's a no no as a central defender and as others have said Reynolds and John...

Re: Crucial Week.
Why would we bring back McCallum? We haven't lost a game since he's been out and we look far more potent without him. As I recall Balanta and Akinbi scored and made 4 between them at Maidenhead even before the current run and again no McCallum.

Re: Grimsby
I don't think Balanta has ever been or sees himself as an out an out striker but he is a fine forward playing behind the front two so based on what i've seen this season I would play Balanta behind Akinbi and Walker and forget about MacCullum - particularly if we get a new centre half.

Re: Another set piece
Played well generally but as most have said we haven't had a centre half all season and it's so blindingly obvious I don't understand what excuses there can be. There is no way Reynolds should be playing as a central defender ( or at all if I'm honest) Clark sadly is probably over the hill and Wrigh...

Re: Some Whys
I agree McCallum needs service but that does not excuse him being on his heels most of the game and not winning a single header in open play against their central defenders and mid fielders e.g Staunton. He has an explanation I suppose - he hasn't played for 3/4 weeks but his attitude has never sat ...

Re: Some Whys
I think McCallum played because Wright was out and therefore - in theory - to provide some height at the back from dead balls. That worked out well! Up front as so often he did nothing at all. Vilhete - a show pony if ever there was one- had numerous opportunities to get a decent ball across but fai...

Re: Halifax (A)
The squad size was always and obviously an issue. I understand the quality not quantity argument but when you are literally down to your last 16 players - two of whom ( Balanta and Vilhete) cannot be fully fit must be a recipe for disaster at this stage when suspensions kick in as wel - and when pla...

Re: Boreham Wood
We were dire all over the pitch and could ,perhaps should have lost by more. Out muscled and outfought by a side with half a dozen giants. I'm not sure why we made so many changes today but we only looked vaguely competitive when sagaf came on near the end. Hard to understand how a team that looked ...

Re: Wealdstone
Sadly two points thrown away. Justham did not have a single shot to save apart from the two we seemed to gift them . Their rookie goalkeeper on loan from Fulham did well but we should have converted at least three other chances. Overall we seem to be playing very well however and there will be times...

Re: New Season
Agreed although I think Clark and Reynolds have both had one or two friendly outings pre season. I don't understand why we haven't signed at least two of the triallists who have apparently impressed to date. Waiting another few days for them to sign on the dotted line can't make much difference. i'd...
