Re: Wealdstone
It’s a bit of a mystery as to our squad sits at 21 players instead of 23 or 24. Could be financial or a clear choice by McMahon? The defence is an area of concern but he seems content the current group are good enough. It’s one of those where a loan signing now only comes after more potentially cost...

Re: Wealdstone
I would agree with the last post, Blair should have come on with Walker and Vilhete looking cream crackered and that was a missed opportunity. We have got off to a really decent start though which was much needed and with Sagaf and possibly Jones back next week we will look stronger still. To be fai...

Wealdstone
It’s been a great start to this campaign and it would be tremendous to carry that on with another win tomorrow. We look solid and very potent going forward, the players look like they trust each other with the ball. Let’s hope the boys can get us the 3pts. It’s probably a game few expect anything ot...

Re: Bromley
The positivity around the place is so good to see, great support and good to hear the sieve in fine voice. We look a confident, solid, team with the vital cutting edge. Weston was superb when he came on and solid performances all over the pitch. Must give McMahon credit for getting a group that are ...

Bromley
Tomorrow we face several former Daggers in what looks a very good contest. They have been up the top end for a few seasons so we will need to play well to get the three points. There is a potential very good start in the making with the next two fixtures after Bromley we can win so 3pts tomorrow set...

Re: Triallists
Agreed. Joey Jones is the best shout as a tall and physical centre half. I recall he was signed as a defender and can’t see him getting an already overcrowded midfield area. Him and Wright with Reynolds as a three looks decent to me, I’d have Johnson and Clark as stand by players.

Re: Triallists
Just read an interview with McMahon in the Post and he talks about adding ONE more player, which presumably is Blair. So that would appear to be that before the season starts anyway.

Re: Triallists
I can only assume he felt he was going to be too low down the pecking order to play many games, will do well though for them I fear, looked dangerous in the friendlies. In the hope that Blair is in the door already surely another Centre Back is the very minimum we need to add next week?

Re: New Season
Surely three or four new faces are a must. We have 18 outfield players though two or three are not ready to play on the 21st so in reality 15 and you need that number for a match day squad. The lad Blair is a real gem and we need to get him or another club will. The striker from Maidstone is also wo...

Re: Triallists
I agree, he looks an exciting prospect and played in most in not all 7 friendlies and did very well. Several other of the trial lists could hardly have done anymore either by way of performances or scoring. Either way numbers are clearly needed, with only 18 outfield players signed and some of them ...

Re: Triallists
Assuming Phipps Clark and Rance won’t be fit come 21 August that leaves 16 outfield players. Additions to the squad are therefore essential not a nice to have.

Re: Triallists
From what we can tell the triallists seem to have done very well as a group. I still feel two players or more will be offered contracts from this group. We have only 20 players signed so far and it would be odd to keep this group for 6-8 friendlies and sign none especially given their performances. ...

Re: Triallists
Let’s hope we hear soon about the players on trial with us, especially Blair. From what I can gather the same five or six players have been at just about every friendly so far, we only have three remaining. We have 20 players currently on the books so it’s fair to assume 3 or 4 more are going to com...

Re: Triallists
Having seen the game at Aveley it was very clear Aaron Blair is more than good enough to play in the NL, he was outstanding. If we don’t take him someone else definitely will. Let’s hope it happens this week.
