Re: Medy joins Dutch team; puzzled looks all round
If he had handed in a transfer request I don't imagine it will be too high... not likely to be too much haggling if he wanted out and we were happy to allow him to move.

Re: Medy joins Dutch team; puzzled looks all round
Don't strikers in the Dutch League end up with 40 odd goals in 30 games over there? If the standard is high but the style of play lets him run with the ball, beat players and his size doesn't affect him then he should do well... I would guess it is less physical than League 2 of Conference Level Eng...

Re: Farewell Luke
When Lewington starts regularly this season I will be concerned about him 'moving up a division' to a higher level of football... He could have gone to Man City or Chelsea and been 3rd choice but doesn't mean he will improve his game if he isn't playing week in, week out. No-one really doubted Femi ...

Maidstone
Did anyone go yesterday? How did we get on? I see the result wasn't ideal but Cureton sounded lively on the Maidstone report.

Re: Trailists
I'm not convinced even a 3 year old Pele was all that back in the dayRichie wrote:I'd rather a 31 year old Connell than a 3 year old Cureton personally.

Re: Trailists
For me, Cureton (if he signed) would be a bigger coup than Zavon last season... would do wonders for a player like Goldberg in training and around the squad on match days

Re: Trailists
Cureton with us tonight? Cracking player still. Look at the level Kevin Phillips played at until he retired... If you know where the goal is

Re: New Signings
Eight signings now and still no 'experienced' wide man or striker... plus neither of the two news gits played as trialists for us last Saturday. Certainly complaints about this being 'John Still's team' when the season begins

Re: Farewell Luke
I would imagine the injury issue hasn't gone away as he only has a one year contract at Luton... If John Still thought he had the higher level player of 12/13 that we saw, with no injury concerns, he would surely have secured him on a longer contact. certainly stronger than Saah on his day, but mayb...

Re: Farewell Luke
Look at the positives... wouldn't have played much this year, Gayle progressing through nicely and (hopefully) more space in the wages for a decent Striker and wide man that doesn't throw us in to financial trouble but still allows us to compete at this level... interesting to see AFC Wimbledon (who...

Re: Farewell Luke
Comfortably the least surprising news of the summer since he was transfer listed... upset by this only because he will no doubt return to his 2012 form, get them promoted and leave for a decent fee. In terms of the decision to let him go, brave but necessary if the Doe/ Saah partnership was to conti...

Great to see Pykes get an outing after the ESC last season... shame there wasn't a chance to see how Nouble is progressing

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JiL1yUF5Rq4 Highlights for anyone whos bothered. Not sure if its biased because its on bromleys channel but by the look of these highlights they shouldve beat us. Also think its brilliant that one of our 2nd half subs turned out if a different kit to the rest of the tea...

Any other trialists set the world alight? Wonder if there will be different faces by the next game
Any idea if Wilkinson is injured or is he not featuring after being transfer listed?
