Chesterfield (H)

Following an appallingly flat and insipid performance in midweek, we now enter a particularly tough sequence of fixtures, commencing with today's visit of a Chesterfield side that have only suffered one defeat in the ten games overseen by new manager James Rowe.

A return for Myles Weston would be a welcome boost, either way I'd expect a few changes given how many poor performances there were on Tuesday night. Not too optimistic about this one, but hopefully we can conjure something up.

Typically, going by the last few seasons this is one of the unexpected ones we steal a point or three in, completely against all expectation to calm talk of the manager leaving... before going on another 5 game losing run. Quietly confident

On form no chance but who can guess with our lot, conditions will see a battle which we seem to be no good at.

This is a must win for the manager.

I don’t think our players like the wind and rain. About time McCallum showed us that he can run and battle for the ball. Should be a few goals today in these conditions.

We start the game a goal down by the inclusion of Kenny Clark.

I swear McMahon said during the week that he wants more consistency from the players. Yet he cannot consistently pick the same formation. How is that meant to help things?

Make that starting 2 goals gown as Brundinho is somehow still in the XI.

Dreadful. Truly dreadful. They’ve looked the better side even with 10 men. School boy defending and terrible on the ball. Is Brundle wearing Lloyd Scott’s diving boots?

No idea why we've lobbed Sagaf straight in the team after so long out. Players look completely devoid of confidence, nobody wants the ball, nobody takes responsibility.

Team selection seems to be similar to selecting lucky dip on the lottery website.

This will be spun as a fighting comeback instead of what it was - floundering around for 80 minutes against 10 men and only getting out of jail with a once in a season strike. If they had had a full complement of players for the whole game we would have been sunk without trace. The contrast between Asante and McCullum was stark as was Carline with any of our defenders.

We played 10 men for 84 minutes and shipped two goals. Ok some times it's hard to break down 10 men as we proved they other week but to concede two is an embarrassment.

Another 2 points dropped in the circumstances and it is was only the ability of one player to give it a go , who did not even start, that it was not more.

Shocking and it's time to dump the chump
