The clue was that it was a "behind closed doors" friendly

I could have been a bit more direct in my questions and I was posting from my lunch break and did not have to really go all in so I posted the short note and general question that I did.

I guess I was wondering if this was a regular thing or just happened to happen due to having a bit of a break in National League games this season only since. I am a new fan starting this year and don't know what the "normal" is for National League seasons.

It sounds more like an advanced practice and what I would call a scrimmage on this side of the pond.

Was this put together at the last minute to get some game-like play in for some that are not getting much game time?

I have a Daggers pen-pal so most of the above were answered over an email or two.

Where I am from, once the regular season starts matches/fixtures/games don't turn to scrimmages (friendlies) like this, so I found it interesting.
