I see that the club have announced that the car park will be closed for a while after the game on Saturday, are they expecting the pikeys to bring their homes with them?

Alright Daggers fans.

Any idea why the bars and club bar etc aren't available to southend fans?

Its not like there is a history of any trouble. I've been in your club bar many times.

Good luck for the season. You should get 3 points from us. We have been dire.

Probably just sheer numbers, wouldn't be surprised if it's the old bill who have advised it. I imagine it's a soft restriction, not like Woking who would only let you in if you produced a home ticket.

Theres a bar with TVs under the away stand which you can use.

Yeah I get that, but we have brought numbers several times without any issues.

All been good banter and the pubs etc all fine.

The away stand is decent but getting a beer is difficult when it fills up.

Have to see. Travelling is going to be a nightmare.

A13 shut at Orsett and c2c running rail replacement buses.

May have to be a train to Romford for a few beers and then a bus over.

No district line either. Romford way is probably the best bet.

Seriously.

A13 shut, c2c rail replacement and now no district line.

Also been advised that all around the ground is now permits holders, so you can't just park on the main road.

What a nightmare journey

Parking round the ground has been getting steadily worse. Our MD thinks it's overblown which is very easy for him to say given he doesn't have to deal with it.

Southend Central to Rainham then 103 bus to Victoria Rd. I do it from Grays every Home game.

Scrub that. Didn’t realise C2C was down as well. I should have read the thread properly. 🤪

As said above, train to Romford - then jump on the 103 bus..stops just outside the ground.

Any idea if it's worth getting a cab from Romford. Not really one for buses unless it's going to be like £20 each way.

Cab would probably be £15 each way, Uber might be cheaper. Both buses only take about 10 mins and you can use contactless.

Think the 103 runs from Romford to the ground taking around half hour. Probably best bet.

A bit disappointed today I thought we should have scored more, but how nice was it to see the pikeys start to hitch up the caravans and leave after the 2nd went in, all in all a satisfying result.
