Well, I'm just digesting that performance...a truly awful first half from both teams but Aldershot looked better. A much improved start to the second with the pen and sending off seemingly smoothing our path to a comfortable home win...But no, only Daggers can conspire to nearly throw that away and let's be honest they should have equalised. I think we always give the opposition confidence that no matter what the game situation is, we will give up chances and I think Aldershot knew this as they never gave up and our game management is shocking, we just seem to go to pieces. A win is a win though right!?

Far from convincing. You'd think we'd see a game out at three up but try as may we couldn't give Aldershot the draw. We are truly awful at game management.
We simply haven't a clue what to do and that's solely down to one man I'm afraid.

I stay at home in the warm like many and watched the stream which should ring alarm bells for the owners. But can be surprised that we nearly blew it, yet more injuries to contend with now, shambles of a season yet again, starting to think the club is cursed no matter who the manager is or owners. Aldershot gifted us the 3 points in the end but you take them when you’re scrapping for survival.

Yup, gifted 3 points by a poor Aldershot team last night. Despite that it was a perfect summary of everything wrong with this team. Capitulated at the end against 10 men in the most inexcusable way. I really hope we make a change soon and find a way to salvage what little hope there is in this season.

Also one final moan. 2 subs made tonight. One once Dion eventually went off injured. It was so obvious at 3-0 up that we should have made some changes in the last 10-15, if anything just to save legs ahead of Saturday. Yet Strevs just refuses to, only for Dion to get injured. What’s the problem here? Is Strevs too clueless to see it coming? Or are King’s signings not good enough for Strevs to have any faith in them to not throw away a 3-0 lead in 20 mins? 5 subs allowed in a match now and I never see us make more than 3, it’s pointless.

Can't talk for the Manager, but I imagine when they got back to 3-1 Strevs thought that any changes he make that see us fall to 3-3 might be the end for him... Our results when ahead this season suggest the Manager has little faith in us being able - mentality wise - to hold out in a game regardless of who we have playing for us.

Right back to Southend, everyone referenced how noticeable the change in our game is at 70 minutes onwards if we are ahead yet we seem to be able to do nothing about that... I appreciate Aldershot played better than us in the first half but 3-0 up against 10 men yesterday that's a game you keep your foot on their proverbial neck and give them no opportunity to get back at you.

How it wasn't 3-3 late on escapes me

A win's a win and that was a desperately-needed one, but the fact it hinged upon a missed one-on-one in stoppage time, when we were THREE goals up with a man advantage, hardly restores confidence or bucks the trend regarding recent game management. I'd much rather find fault in a victory than a defeat though.

On the subs situation, don't think Oscar was fit enough to come on, Vigrass is a kid, Remy probably isn't good enough and that just leaves Stephenson who is a viable change. Don't think he wanted to bring Rees on either but his hand was forced.

Capitulation every week now. It’s time for the owners to sack him. Good for us as a player, well liked, but utterly useless as a manager.
