I thought Raymond did ok yesterday.

Heard is nowhere near a conference player yet. He's being rushed I guess.

I would say you have rose tinted glasses for anyone who has been with us a while or come through the system Mark?? Same with Bingham??

Everytime Raymond touched the ball yesterday he gave it away.

And I agree with Heard, don't think he is ready yet

Raymond hasn't exactly come through the system. He's usually quite poor in midfield and does ok at full back but he kept the ball moving and gave us a bit more structure than Guttridge.

Raymond loses the ball too often, rarely wins it, is slow and is easily pushed off the ball. Mix this with a reluctance to make a tackle or score a goal and you basically have Jamie day with darker hair. We are as far as his career will go I'm afraid unless there's a miracle. I would replace him with anyone else Adrian. In fact let's just drop him and start with 10 men.

What you've largely described there could also often be applied to Boucaud.

I'm not sure why you're comparing hin to Jamie Day. Day was a left back. Raymond is a central midfielder that has been played either at left back or in a more defensive central position this season.
From what I've seen he's genealogy done a better job at left back than Widdowson does.

No comment on Hawkins penalties?

Boucard I think we agree is a good player and key this season he can also have a crap day like everyone else. I'd love to see Raymond have a good day. Yet to see it. What do you want me to say about Hawkins penalties. Seems to never go in first time. In off a rebound or a post. Don't spose it matters if they go in. You

Boucaud has reverted to type past month is so without somebody doing all the donkey work next to him.

Bang on, wont be long to the A4 ers are out because since October it has been as as bad as anything that we saw last season defensively . The fact we are still 4th only six points of the top says all you need to know about the opposition.

I imagine on the 2nd, we'll have to play something like:

---------Justham or Cousins
Ling----Staunton----Hawkins----Raymond
---------Boucaud----Heard---------------
JMD------------Hyde------------Whiteley----
--------------Benson------------------------

When you consider out best XI this season has probably been the below you can see why it's a struggle.

------------------Justham
Williams----Doe----Robson----Widdowson
------------Boucaud---Robinson-------------
JMD---------------Whiteley----------Fejiri
-------------------Hawkins-----------------

That's not taking into account Howell or Guttridge either who are both big misses when not available.

I think most people realise that we are still in touch with the leaders despite missing Robson, Okenbeherie, Robinson, Williams, Howell, Guttridge etc, and that some of those players will be back soon and that will strengthen our squad.

Boucaud is ok when things are going well and he's got someone doing the donkey work for him. Once things aren't going so well he becomes anonymous. You mentioned Raymond not scoring goals or winning the ball, traits he shares with Boucaud.

I'm aware it unlikely, but I'd like you to admit that you haven't got a clue what you're talking about with regard to Hawkins penalties. You start by asking how many result in rebounds or scrambles, you get that answered as only one, so chucking in them hitting the post.
They seem to never go in first time, so you might want to watch these:
Wrexham https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOlM8QuqfqQ#t=02m15s - no post or rebound there
Solihull https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2H6Sj3yQGaQ#t=4m35s - no post or rebound there
Dover https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6e0fklcYRo#t2m35s= - no keeper gets to it but it's hit that hard it doesn't matter
Bromley https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oe-DULaiI4k#t=3m50s - no post or rebound there

For someone that can't take a penalty that's 4 pretty decent penalties. And they all went in first time.

It also helps that:
1) we started the season well, unlike last season.
2) despite the poor defending we're still having a go.
3) we're still scoring goals

It's easy to pick on Boucard but the captain has been woeful. Certainly not the same player as before, yesterday summed his season up.

No one goes on about Doe being really good though.
It's easy to pick out Boucaud because in the grand scheme of things he does nothing. He's looked much better this season, but hasn't really created any goals and defensively goes missing when it matters.

For example, Doe was criticised against Solihull, but watch Boucaud for the first 3 goals. Turning his back on the bloke shooting for the first, lazily hanging a leg out instead of getting in front and blocking the second, then jogging as his man sprints in and scores the third.
