Have always said, as have others that this is a decent squad... a bit of fight and desire will keep us up as the quality is there... well done boys

When we clawed a goal back I really thought we'd sneak it and come out winners, but at least now must bring in a bit of confidence for the boys and believe in themselves, although we'd all agree especially first half were still showing big faults in marking up tightly on opposition attack and can't fathom out why for so long we have gone with no height up front, its cost us! Maybe, just maybe 45 minutes tonight has opened our door.

Just in and I have to say that 2nd half is probably one of the best I've seen us play this season..and I know that's not saying much! Show a bit of enthusiasm, first to the ball and some actual attacking intent and we're a half decent side. Still things to be addressed, but that 2nd half was definitely a step in the right direction in what was ultimately a deserved point.

Was a great all round performance 2nd half for me and we can talk plenty about their height. But we still scored from a set play and to be fair i think we always looked more likely to score in open play than they did.Thought we broke out really well at times.Once again really good night for our club, and to those who just wanna eat cake on a saturday, jog on.You wont be missed.Proud to be a dagger!

We'll said Sir, even Batt looked interested Second half, following another dreadfull first 45. The two full backs both had very poor first halfs IMO and they have simply got to improve or be shipped out.

All I ever ask is for what I saw Second half, Murphy sprinting 60 yards to pressure their Keeper we end up with a throw. That's what it's all about boys

Cureton trying to make something out of nothing and the two Centre Halfs again playing as if it was A Personal insult to allow any Cambridge Player a run at our goal.

Sorry Scott you looked upset leaving the pitch at half time to the all to normal chorous of boos neither you or Ayo deserved that.

We defended the box very well all night bar the goal, some of our defending higher up the pitch first half was a bit careless but from open play they never payed a glove on us.

Good to se us get a positive result out of a negative situation.

Now the team appear to have found what we all desire let's stop the negatives and get behind them
and let the Bedwetters and doubters eat cake.

Can only echo other comments

1st half was down there with the Southport and Stevenage home games. Spirit and lifeless, turgid displays. Complete opposite to WB gambit of 'we want to start on the front foot and attack'
Another softer than soft goal to give away. All these months in and still struggle to defend a set piece.
Although Doe was obviously pissed off at the HT boos - I think they were absolutely justified.

2nd half.. well, that's a different story.
From the get go we were up and at em. Defended as a unit. Restricted them to very little. Looked to break at pace. Used the little width we had well and were fully deserving of our equaliser. As the game wore on it was very apparent that Cambridge players were looking leggy and were there for the taking! We nearly exploited it but it wasn't quite to be.
Bit of an odd substitution taking JC - was convinced he'd get a least one final chance before the game was over that you'd fancy him to take.

So a good point and really really needs to be backed up with a win on Saturday!!

Echo all of the above really. It is performances like the second half that really make this season frustrating though - we showed last night that if the team actually does put in 120% for everything, then we are actually a decent (no more than that) side and can achieve mid-table obscurity comfortably. The problem is that that performance and level of commitment is all too lacking - the only other recent occurrence would have been the last 20-30 mins of both the home and away Bury games.

For the first time in ages, players, once having lost the ball, were sprinting in an effort to get it back and pressurise their players. As previously mentioned, Murphy sprints 50-60 yards to pressurise the keeper with a kick. The effort and commitment there was unquestionable in the second half....almost coincidental that this happened to be the half when Abu Ogogo came back?

My only real negative to add in addition to the comments about defending set pieces is about how that set piece came about - a ball over the top from Cambridge, Batt decides from 30 yards away from the goaline that it's going to go out for a goal kick and doesn't even bother moving to ensure that it does...lo and behold a Cambridge player showing hunger sprints after it and just about keeps it in and wins the corner.

Second half showing definitely showed promise - promise that we MUST build on in our next game.

We are consistently inconsistent ;)

Cracking result - with a goal as well!

Would be nice if we could turn up for more than a single half, but small acorns & all that..
