First mention of any big name clubs being in for him though.
Be nice to see a bidding war if he has to go.

The same article has made the Evening Standard. If Brighton sign him then Hawkins could well be a Premiership footballer next season, that's a strange thought. Almost as strange as Matty Cash playing in the Bundesliga.

I heard last week another championship side, believed to be forest, had sent two separate scouts to watch him.
If it comes down to money, we don't have a chance.

Oi - you've been warned about your pronoun use on this forum! ;)

Oh yes apologies.
Can I also say that no actual bid has gone in for Hawkins as of yet from Ipswich. An unofficial figure was floated across to Dagenham from a different club at the start of the window from somebody else though.
But nothing official from any of the three sides yet.

Cash looked exceptional, though, even last season. Clearly a very good technical football.

I'd like to think that if a deal is to be done, earlier the better so that at least we have time to bring in a replacement.
But it does show the potential of Stilly by selling the club to any hungry youngster to use us as a stepping stone. Might attract some more raw talent this way!

I feel that this is somewhat similar to Defoe and Sunderland, because if we sell him we would effectively be surrendering our promotion hopes. I don't know who we could bring in that will definitely do the job he's been doing.

With the flair we have I reckon finding an old hold up man would see us through. Remembered we lost CMS and Strevs was very different but just as effective.

CMS was part of a front two in a 4-4-2 formation. Today Hawkins plays as the lone striker, someone who leads the line with a supporting trio behind him. Not quite the same tbh.

Assombalonga recalled from his loan. Think we can guess where this is going...
