A dull game that neither side deserved to win (or lose for that matter).
According to the man on the tannoy, the first league meeting between D&R and Bath since 1996. How the mighty have fallen.
I was left with a series of questions;
Why do we keep playing the ball out of defence by passing it to ...

Bath (A)
As a long suffering Exile, I very rarely get to see the Mighty D&R in the flesh.
Tomorrow, however, is different. The Sister-in-Law lives in Bath and Lady Snooty has suggested a trip out to NE Somerset to spread the joy. The excitement is palpable as the hours tick down........
Any thoughts or ...

FA Trophy
I see that we have been drawn at home in the second round of the FA Trophy.
We play Tilbury on December 12.
They are currently 18th in Isthmian North.
I wonder how we will eff this one up?

FA Cup
If anyone ever needed any evidence of how far we have fallen.......on Saturday September 13 we will be playing in an FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round match for the first time since 1999.
We are playing Bedford Town from National North.
I believe that we stand a very good chance of losing for only the ...

Re: Best ever games in Daggers history
Hello Auntie
I suggested that debacle as an example of how it is always darkest before the dawn....however, I agree, let us expunge that result from the records forever.
As an alternative – (sorry, another defeat) – Aug 2013 - Stockport 1 Dagenham and Redbridge 0.....

Re: Best ever games in Daggers history
Hello Auntie
You asked for games “which define the Daggers history”.
May I be a little left field and suggest;
D&R 0 Hereford 9 from Feb 2004?
Why? Because this game marked the beginning of the end for Garry Hill who was shortly to be replaced by one John Still. After which the long glorious climb ...

If you are against these owners, especially due to their pro-terrorist posts on social media then please sign this petition and share with your friends. The abuse being levelled at Dagenham fans on social media is terrible and these idiots have to go as soon as possible ...

Re: FA Cup: Bracknell Town (A) 14 October 2023
I am an exile so I rarely get to see the team live for a full 90 minutes. Saturday was a welcome opportunity and I even persuaded my local to show the game. What a waste.
Along with the crushing disappointment in failing to beat a team three divisions below us I was left with some questions.

Travelling distances (and attendant costs) won’t be that different – a significant number of the current Conference South teams are actually located in the South West – long slow journeys down there my Old Lovers........

Re: Friendly: West Ham (H)
Yes, the Bury Road clubhouse used to be where the players changed. They used to come out onto the pitch from beside the left hand side of goal. In the seventies the clubhouse was briefly reopened for events. As part of the refurb they laid a new concrete floor – I know this because I helped my Dad ...

Re: Friendly: Romford (A)
Yes McLeansville, Romford are quite a way down the Pyramid these days. I remember when I first started going round to Victoria Road back in the 60’s when they were the local big boys – top of the Southern League and all that. Barking were also top dogs flying high in the Isthmian league and looking ...

God, we were good
Some kind person, (I do not know who but if they are on this forum, many thanks) has been posting clips on U-Tube from old (2008) Daggers games. What a joy it is to see Benson scoring at will and the Fox in the Box Stevens (whatever happened to him?) making other teams look ordinary.
Happy days.
