Re: New Signings
I'm not saying this is in any way, shape or form a true comparison, but hadn't Jake Hessenthaler played over 300 games in the Football League before signing for us?

Re: Andy Carroll is a Dagger
In all my years of supporting the Daggers I'm certain this is the first time that we have an ex England player on our books.
Not sure how things will pan out but certainly seems a far cry from the disastrous time we have all had over the last six months.
Warren Barton played a few times for ...

From my recollection:

Farnborough (though they were Farnborough Town back then, I believe)
Maidenhead
Maidstone
Slough
Torquay
Salisbury City did too before they went bust, with the current Salisbury team being the new club

Re: Aveley friendly
For those without an encyclopedic knowledge of Daggers pre season fixtures, those were our pre season friendlies in the 2006/07 season.

Re: Aveley friendly
Re the result.
Lose all friendlies equals win the league.
Win all friendlies equals relegation form
I'm assuming we had a dreadful season following these pretty successful pre season results, losing only one match, then:
Barking Away Friendly W2-1
King's Lynn Away Friendly W2-1
Arlesey Town ...

Re: Shiloh Remy Departs
I don't think I've ever seen a player put as many crosses into the crowd behind the goal as he did. Far better players out there, no loss to us.

Re: Ashley Hemmings
I'm sure if my memory serves me correctly that when he played for us ten years ago during a televised cup game he went to take a corner kick and missed the ball completely and kicked the corner flag. It was both funny and embarrassing at the time but would not want him back probably for that alone ...

Re: Season ticket prices
Exactly this - how can we be getting excited and carried away about a new ownership when we know literally nothing about it whatsoever? It could be Glenn Tamplin again for all we know!

Re: Who would be the right man in charge next season?
I have been told, by someone present, that, at the AGM last night everyone was informed that 34 credible applicants had applied, 8 were shortlisted . This was reduced to 4 who were being interviewed yesterday/ today with an announcement likely on Monday.
Shows how serious the full members are ...

Re: Who would be the right man in charge next season?
Every day that passes is yet another day of not being able to get prepared for the new season. The comments, made before the season had even ended, from the board that they had a plan for if we were to get relegated are being well and truly exposed, yet again, as just one big lie.
