With only six points gained in the last six games we desperately need to win this game against a team with even worse form than us.
They have Harry Phipps and Mo Sagaf in their squad, so wouldn't be surprised if one of them popped up scoring the winner against us as things have been going this season!

Phippsy at least won't score as he's out injured.

The manager again at pains to point out how good a side they are despite them being 23rd. This is absolutely must win, no excuses.

Always thought Phipps gave 100% whether he played in defence or up front for us and Sagaf did a good job as well.

I was considering going this evening just to give Phipps a cheer as I regarded him as a true dagger, hearing he’s out injured Im not going to brave the wind rain and cold, recent home form tells me tonight isn’t going to be a spectacle.

Attendance 1106.
Less than last week.
Last week was 900+ through the tienstyle.

Not a chance in hell that there were 1100 in the ground tonight even if you include stewards, players, subs, coaches, groundsman and camera crew in the number. Around 700 would be generous - Bury Road end was largely empty, Sieve had barely anyone in it and there spaces galore in the stands too. I just don't get why we constantly inflate our attendances.

A home win and clean sheet, now we need to pick up points away from home starting on Saturday.

With regard to attendance, it was midweek and freezing cold with the team in bad form with our two centre forwards missing and often playing a boring and a negative formation.
Myself and a friend are both season ticket holders but for different reasons did not attend. The club like many others however, seem to include season ticket holders whether they are in attendance or not.
I just think this is what happens and seems to be common place including amongst premier league clubs.
Rather than worry about that, I’m just pleased that we got the three points and moved a bit further from the bottom four because this time last season we were middle of the table but still managed to get relegated.
Now that would be something to worry about!

Too many teams around us have got games in hand so I imagine we’ll start slipping down the table if they start picking up points from those games.

Looking at the teams below us, unless there is a change in form by them, us having points on the board look far more favourable.
