Well we were barely making any chances at home under Burnett. Yesterday was a good step forward in that respect.SUSSEX DAGGER wrote:Nothing to do with who Manages the team , if you miss chances like we did yesterday and give goals away like we once again did yesterday you lose football matches , simple as. Now under 20 games left and time is running out . Hopefull when this monkey is off our back we can finish the second half of the season strongly at home
Yes we played well and the posative is we are making chances, be very worried if we were not .
Big big game next week , looking forward to it another day off work , another long drive an excessive toll to get into the gaff to pay and I think we will win . Now there's positives thinking for you
Hmmmm

Oh look more chambers bashing from the we hate chambers chuckle brothers. We know. Funny how no one is picking out the kid from leaving his marker for the corner.....nah lets just bash chamber for the hell of it.
Yesterday was better but we still lost, if we don't win at home in the next two of three I think we are as good as down as our run in is awful.

Chambers isn't being bashed for the hell of it. He's being bashed for being garbage and a bottler.Diggerthedog wrote:Oh look more chambers bashing from the we hate chambers chuckle brothers. We know. If one other player made a mistake during the game I'm not sure why that should take away from Chambers being crap.
Passley had 2 cast iron chances and missed, nobody even mentioned them.Look,Chambers aint the finished article but you cant say he aint trying or causing a bit of trouble for the opposition we've had worse though aint we ?
As for Mr Sussex. If Johny hoof cant keep us up Wayne definately wouldn't have. There is a marked change in all the players Ive witnessed 3 games lately including everton and Stevenage away where I actually felt Wayne has been exonerated for picking good players but lets no longer kid ourselves he'd have turned this around.i readily admit he wouldn't have. The players clearly hated him as much as this lot on here.
We will stay up.

Only reason we won at Stevenage and Exeter but yeah he is crap because you say so :roll:Adrian wrote:Chambers isn't being bashed for the hell of it. Chambers is a luxury we cannot afford. Last season I Was surprised Cambridge let him go. This season I am more surprised we persevere with him! He really does not get stuck in enough (that's a kind version of what many think). We need more battlers not bo .............................................. no I wont go there.

People on here are very strange. Here is a bloke who in our last two away games has been one of the most pivotal reasons we picked up only our 3rd and 4th wins of the season, and yet he is getting pulled apart!! Astounds me. So he doesn't tackle like Ashley Vickers, but that's not really his role. He scored one and made two at Stevenage, then scored the winner at Exeter. Saturday he should have scored, but at least he was getting in those positions. He is doing decent job. The sort of play JS often gets the best out of in my view.
Is interesting on here that everything has to be black and white with some people. Like the whole Still thing. Stilly signs a non league player, and its a great signing regardless of his strike rate in the transfer market in the past. If Wayne had signed him I wonder what the reaction would be.
The same as Saturday was so so so so so much better than anything else in the last 3 years according to some, forgetting the very similar performances against Oxford and Plymouth earlier in the season.
I am glad Stilly is back, like eveveryone, and think we now have much better chance of staying up for various reasons, but you would think the bloke's sh1t don't smell from some peoples reaction!!

I thought Chambers did ok on Saturday, he took his goal well, just a shame it was offside. No one can fault the blokes attitude, he is a trier that's for certain. It's the other Ashley they should be worried about, Hemmings. He has been terrible for quite some time now and yet is still a regular. I don't know whether it's a confidence thing with him, but something is clearly not right.
Hemmings on his day is fantastic. He hasn't had a day for quite a while although he did well at Stevenage.I seem to remember him making lots of runs at defenders with quite a bit of success when he first arrived but they seem to have dried up lately.Hope he finds his form soon.stanton101 wrote:I thought Chambers did ok on Saturday, he took his goal well, just a shame it was offside. While I agree he has not been that effective of late, his cross for the dis-allowed goal on Saturday was a lovely ball. I thought he looked a little more lively on Saturday to be honest. Hopefully that will continue over next few weeks.

I have to say I thought we played pretty well for most of the game on Saturday and don't really understand why we are jumping on individuals here. Yes we missed chances but this is League Two and we don't have Messi and Ronaldo playing up front. At least we made chances for a change.
The personnel and the shape has changed, we look a lot more threatening going forward and solid defending. As Stilly says in his interview, we got undone by two "restarts" again, and in case anyone missed it, we haven't been able to defend corners all season. He's spotted it, and they will be working on it.
What happened to looking forward not back and getting behind the team?
And yes, Ollie Hawkins looks like a beast. He was at least half a head taller than Doidge watching the warm up. Let's hope he plays up to the hype.

hemmings and passley wont look to good as we not playing through the wings atm.
im not a chambers fan but he does have a go and id still rather him than mcclure. even tho id rather cureton and doidge up top.
our squad is not great so dropping hemmings for either conners or widdowson is making team weaker imo.
passley has no competition at all.
chambers, not many could play in the hole either.
coyd

but we finished 9th!
How many posts have there been describing the new signing as great? Most of what I can see seem to be people being happy that were going down that route.DI Mike Dashwood wrote:People on here are very strange. I hunk the reaction if Burnett had signed him would be no different. The likes of Yussuff and Doing got similar reactions.
The big difference for mexample now is that I think he might actually get a chance, unlike every player that Burnett signed from non-league.
But I guess that isn't quite as black and white as you think.
I think he's crap, I'm not going to say otherwise am I. That's how opinions work isn't it?Diggerthedog wrote:Only reason we won at Stevenage and Exeter but yeah he is crap because you say so :roll:Adrian wrote:Chambers isn't being bashed for the hell of it. The idea that he's the only reason we won those games is utterly laughable.
