Dorking (A)
Huge result and point on the road. Well done to all involved
Bradbury said today would be a great marker for where we are and boy did we deliver! This kind of result is exactly the sort of thing we wanted to be looking forward to when dropping down a level. 7 points on the board now — get to 50 and we’ll be back here next season to really build on things. Sack Lee Bradbury. Apart from a solid 15 mins from us, it was all dorking.

Didn’t bother Today as did many of my usual group, heard we stunk the place out here again and the comments from the Dorking fans tells the story, anti football etc.
How far we’ve fallen, an absolute mess of a club that will only sink further under this manager.
Any sign of the new owners, I guess without them we won’t be sacking him. Circus.

There are no “new owners” if there was they would have walked away weeks ago, more empty promises and a lack of leadership throughout the club, A few players are playing for the club but most only for themselves. We are on the road to obscurity

Point and clean sheet lent more to them missing sitters as well as having a couple of credible pen claims denied. We were painfully dull and negative with no imagination to try to win the game whatsoever. Look at the differing post-match interviews from Bradbury and Marc White, you'll see what the standards of a genuine contender look like.

the game wasn't even the worst bit - who on earth owns this club?

The silence is deafening from the club. This current situation is disrespectful of the supporters and the local community.
With Thompson effectively calling the shots again you'll get absolutely nothing. He holds the fans in total contempt. One of the big reasons we've shrunk as a club, outside of his hand in several botched takeovers, is the way he treats supporters. It's always reasons why we can't do anything to make the experience better or boost attendances rather than looking for solutions. We've got a lovely clubhouse since the renovations but he's alienated so many people it's not even that busy on a match day!
Rizzetta and Hall seem to still own the club but by resigning from the board have no real say. I suspect they are just waiting for someone to take it off their hands, and I can't imagine the asking price is very high - they'll surely be taking a big loss much like Trinity did.

Totally agree Mark, the heart and soul of this club has been completely ripped out and its all happened under the (continuing) watch of one person who doesn't actually care about the fans at all. Worth noting that its not just the fans that have been disengaged/driven away, but the same can be said for some sponsors too (and I wouldn't be surprised if some players have been likewise affected). However, as we all know, nothing will ever change at Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club.

just seen the highlights (go to 1 mins 20 sec), running through clear on goal for us, what a complete and utter mess he made of it. Someone who can run fast but cannot play football, reminded me of Adam Gemili.
Just a complete lack of confidence... Was going to say a poor first touch but he never really got a touch of any kind on the ball to bring it under control, simply ran past it.Pondfield Dagger wrote: Mon Sep 22, 2025 1:57 pm just seen the highlights (go to 1 mins 20 sec), running through clear on goal for us, what a complete and utter mess he made of it. Aware he gets regular criticism anyway but the 45 minutes N'Guessan thought he had on the ball towards the end of the game and had the ball taken off of him is symptomatic of exactly what we saw last season and are just continuing on with this year... Everything we do seems so laboured and at half the pace of the opposition, Home or Away.
