With the opposition appointing a new manager yesterday along with Andy Carroll taking the reigns for us on a temporary basis, it's all change in the dugouts.
It will be a tough game because Torquay need to add to their points total to ensure a play-off place.
I hope Joe Haigh is available because without him we are lacking in creativity.

Will be a tough game, Torquay will set up to frustrate and get the home support on the teams back - similar with how Ball set up with totton.
Will be nervey as both managers try and work out what’s happening, I imagine both teams will sit in till someone pulls a trigger to play a certain way.
While I want us to win every game this is the transition stage we’ve been screaming for all season and we cant let them spoil that, back AC, Tel and the boys and let’s celebrate the proper start of this (hopeful) new age we’re embarking on.

Well…
What a game!
Bloody brilliant result.
And the upstairs bar after the game felt like home.
It was the first game in ages that I fixed the Daggers flag to my car for the journey home.
We showed determination, and at times looked the better team.
Most of all we wanted to continually attack; there was very little defensive play.
Brilliant result for the club all round.

Great win that and thoroughly deserved although slightly on edge the way Torquay were pressing forward later on, our passing through 'tight wedges' was superb today best Ive seen for ages and justice was finally achieved when we scored I presume it was straight from our corner by Marsh? Surely we keep that determined and focused next games could get quite interesting if we finally carry it through, nice crowd too

Good result, poor game with both sides really depleted with injuries made it a battle with little quality.
Most important thing was the atmosphere and buzz around the ground, have to keep that momentum for the remaining games with what must be many new comers attending, hopefully we push on.
Got to meet Tony Fernandes who was very excited to be back involved with football, as a businessman he knows an opportunity when he sees one.
Onwards and upwards, COYFD.

The ex QPR guy? Blimey, he was pretty ruthless from what I recall and a pretty uncompromising character!Diggerthedog wrote: Sun Mar 22, 2026 8:56 am Good result, poor game with both sides really depleted with injuries made it a battle with little quality.

Now the SE27 Dagger
I thought we looked really solid defensively, worked very hard, but just lacked a bit of quality in forward areas.
Howes, Mags, PK and Broad were excellent. Marsh played well in front of them. Wish we could keep Lawless fit because he has so much ability, his touch and passing are the best we have. Big well done to Trent too after not much football recently, put a shift in and did the basics well.
Bit disappointed in Kayden after seeing him as a big miss recently but I'm sure he'll rediscover some form with more minutes. He just gave it away too often and looked a bit heavy legged. Worked tremendously hard though.
Need AC and Haigh on the pitch because we are just sterile without them.
