At the start of the season, Dagenham under Thompson and Co thought they were Barcelona or Man United, in taking at least a month to appoint a new manager. As a result, Bradbury came into an already toxic situation and all the best free transfers had been signed by other teams. We were left with the s/l/l (sick, lame and lazy).

This was a good time to get rid of Bradbury, therefore the new manager can assess who is any good and will know who he needs to sign in the close season. I think, we need someone strong like Mark Stimson, who knew how to win trophies when he was at Grays.

I will definately be going to at least one game towards the end of the season; and look forward to the ups and downs of our future.

Hello RayleighDagger3.
So....there's another out here.
Agree with you on Bradbury but he should have gone earlier. Thank god for Uddin n Co making a bold decisionsl. A good pre-season is needed and I hope a top coach for this level ill be in place. COYD

Jimmy Ball who has now been made the Torquay manager would have been a good fit, he did amazingly well at Totton as we know from getting well beaten a few weeks ago.
It is now a case of getting the right person in the job who can take us forward, which in this respect I have every confidence in them.

Luke Garrard of Boreham Wood is a better choive imho. Has done great things over the past few seasons and if he would drop down a division reckon he's a good choice. Don't know about Jimmy Ball's previous success rate. Totton don't seem to be setting National South alive.

I mentioned Jimmy Ball because he got Totton promoted into our division, they are part time, cannot imagine they have a particularly large budget and played us of the park three weeks ago. Whether Like Gerrard has changed or not I don't know but he used to be very defence minded and very similar to Bradbury in fact.

Also in reality Gerard has been with Boreham Wood for years and stands a chance this season of getting them into the football league via the playoffs so it wouldn't seem very likely he would be that interested in our vacancy.

Just saw a post that Lee Bradbury was match pundit on BBC radio Solent for the Bournemouth Vs Manchester United game on Friday night. Would have like to have listen to that, to see what insight he would have given to a match in the premier League. 🤔
