Let the speculation begin. Email arrived around 8:45 PM Dagenham Time.

Club Statement
We can share that the Club’s Chairman, Daniel Hall, plans to step down from his role. We thank him for his service and commitment to Dagenham & Redbridge FC during his tenure.
This transition comes in advance of the introduction of a new ownership consortium, who wish to address all Daggers supporters directly in the message below. Of course, any change of ownership is subject to all relevant agreements and approvals; thank you for your patience and respect while this process is ongoing, and we hope to share more with you very soon.
Dear Daggers Fan,
What makes English football uniquely special is the fans. Your passion transforms the game into something extraordinary, creating unforgettable moments, uniting communities, and fostering a spirit of togetherness felt worldwide.
Having experienced football culture both in the UK and internationally, we see how genuine passion for the sport can sometimes be overshadowed by distractions like excessive branding, content overload, or boardroom politics. At its heart, however, Dagenham and Redbridge FC remains fundamentally a football club, driven by authentic community spirit and love for the game.
We acknowledge the instability the Club experienced earlier this year, disrupting momentum and unity that had been carefully built over the years. Now, we are firmly committed to placing football at the forefront once again.
This week, Daggers proudly announced a new manager, Lee Bradbury. We genuinely believe that Lee has the proven ability to rebuild and elevate the club. He will need your support as fans more than ever to help achieve this shared vision.
To deliver on this vision, we’ve identified a consortium of experienced football investors, driven by a shared passion for East London’s heritage, resilience, and diversity. This group brings together local knowledge combined with significant international expertise, particularly from the Middle East, United States and Europe, and is focused on ensuring both business continuity and fresh, innovative thinking. This group is delighted with the Club’s decision to sign Lee Bradbury and is looking forward to further updates, including exciting announcements about player signings and additions to the coaching staff. Beyond the pitch, we are exploring impactful partnerships that can immediately enhance matchday experiences, foster stronger community connections, and elevate the club's profile both locally and internationally.
Community isn't just a department, it's our foundation and most valuable asset. Together, we will strive to make Victoria Road a stadium that opponents fear to visit.
Thank you for your continued support and COYD!

A strange statement, even Microsoft thought so as the email went to my junk mail.
Has someone hacked into the Daggers emails?

Honestly what a shit show. It doesn’t seem like something to worry about though or players/managers wouldn’t be walking through the door.
Just got to let the dust settle on this one and see. Mad how experienced we must all feel in going through this stuff. 5th ownership saga in 10 years? Yet one constant through it all… (sorry had to)

You're not wrong.
Which is why I don't place much faith in any of their bollocks tbh.

Will the same old person still be stinking the place out? If so new owners don’t make a jot of difference. How many owners is that now for Teflon man.
Agreed, it won’t make any difference as it’s clear we are stuck in a repeating cycle of failure still with Thommo here.
On the topic of the statement though. Hall is clearly done. But it reads like he has been sacked rather than the club is being sold. As it says he’s “stepping down” in advance of the introduction of a new consortium who will be revealed in due course. You don’t step down if you sell something, you just flog it and be on your way. It sounds like two separate things just happening at once.
All f*****g confusing and it would really be nice to have a week without uncertainty at this club. It’s been ages since that was the case.

This is so puzzling.
Why isn't this statement, or an abbreviated version of it, on the official website?
Why did people get the message late on Friday evening via email or Facebook?
I've read it a few times and it has a strange feel to it, darts all over the place with taunting implications and many answered questions.
It's not good PR/communications.
Once again it results in so much speculation, conjecture and negativity.

This. The club continues to only frustrate and not reassure.dj johnny b wrote: Fri Jun 06, 2025 11:11 am This is so puzzling.

The only good thing to celebrate is the departure of Dan Hall, but as a club that has been rudderless for so long, it is more of the same.
I really wish Todd Johnson had bought us. He was the best thing around the club in years.

I've shown several football supporting friends this statement and it has been pointed out that you do not 'sign' a manager.
Who wrote this? Take ownership! It isn't in the style/tone of any recent statements.
I'm surprised people on here haven't jumped at the Middle East reference after what's happened.
This opaque and confusing statement is testing our patience.

I immediately noticed the Middle East reference. However, until we know who it is, no judgement can be passed. I pray the club has learned from mistakes.dj johnny b wrote: Fri Jun 06, 2025 1:09 pm I've shown several football supporting friends this statement and it has been pointed out that you do not 'sign' a manager.

I am concerned that the person running the club socials hasn't yet blocked the people who continue to harass their social feeds, unless there is a reason why the club still wants those people onboard...
Both you and I know how to write PR and marketing, JB, our only hope is that the club brings in people who can do the same.

I think it's the uncertainty about the new consortium. The wording of the statement isn't natural English, the worry is the Egyptian may be involvedDanamite wrote: Sat Jun 07, 2025 5:24 pm Blimey. Been desperate to get rid of Dan Hall and club underdog all season. Now it's happening your all trying to find thoughts with the next thing. Got what we all wanted and still moaning
