Re: Stockport (H)

That was so very embarrassing. One of the biggest games of the season and they produce a hopeless, helpless, heap of shit for a performance. Every single player should be ashamed. Let’s be real for a second, Stockport are a very good team. But they only needed to play 5 minutes of football to beat u...

Re: Stockport (H)

Very big game, but I’m not feeling too nervous despite our underwhelming performances recently. Hopefully everyone is fully fit and we can leave ourselves a really big headache for who to start. Personally I think I’d be controversial and start Robbo over Sagaf to give us a bit more defensively. If ...

Re: Spennymoor

A nice draw for us, yet again. Especially when considering the ties elsewhere. A shame though that if we were to win, Southend away would need to be postponed. Was looking forward to that game being on a Saturday.

Re: Southend (H) FA Trophy Thread

A slow start but ultimately a comfortable win, that we didn’t really have to work hard for. Hopefully a nice draw awaits us in the next round. Joey Jones was superb yesterday, the defence too. Although Yoan’s booking was a silly moment from him. I honestly don’t have a clue who our best team is anym...

Re: Crucial Week.

I think McCallum alongside Walker is a different story. I would imagine that around October is when Walker got injured? I think he has struggled this year when playing alongside Balanta, together we don’t have a lot of energy up top. But it’s strange because we had that run at the end of last season...

Re: Crucial Week.

9 points secured over Christmas so we have done exactly what we needed to do - happy days. However, for the two home games I don’t think anyone would say that replicating that performance on Saturday at Torquay will get us a win. Hopefully the rest does us some good, as we need to find another gear ...

Re: Aldershot

Think we looked off the pace today. It’s lucky that our opposition during this spell are some of the worst teams in the division and we can get away with it. Zouma looks like a class addition though, can only imagine how good he may be after more time to settle in. Morias MOTM is a weird one, I actu...

Re: FA Trophy draw - Truro away!

Good to get some minutes in the legs of a few of the lads returning and no further injuries it seems despite their pitch looking horrendous. Added bonus that we didn’t lose so I guess there are worse days to have!

Re: Grimsby

Now that was more like it. Really good performance from everyone. Was going to highlight special mentions but I ended up writing everyone’s name aside from Justham who didn’t have too much to deal with! I think until Walker is back Akanbi has to start over either Balanta or McCallum. Both are good p...

Re: Song we come out too

The club has been playing Poppiholla before kick off since the late 2000’s. A few years ago they decided to change it to Underdog by Kasabian which wound up anyone with half a brain and they did decide to put it to a vote. Everyone voted to stick with Poppiholla and personally I don’t think it’s a d...

Re: Dogshit

Last night was beyond terrible. We had one tactic and it was to give the ball to Westy and hope for the best. However it was so easy for Eastleigh to deal with as Westy was having a massive off night, then when he did find the box our strikers didn’t want to move for it. Really was appalling and we ...

Re: Some Whys

Whilst I want to see another centre half come in, I don’t actually think that was the reason we lost on Saturday. Yeovil didn’t really threaten us that much, even when we were down to 10. They had maybe 2 good chances all game and their goal came from our striker cocking up, not Kenny or Reynolds. I...

Re: Junior Morias

Thought he looked really good when we played them, but I’m shocked to see what his record has been this season. Hopefully that’s more because of the players around him… Do hope though that this is more of a replacement for Wilson than Walker. He is someone we really need back soon. Also, who said th...

Re: Monday Night Football

It was very surprising to see 2,300 home fans, that was more than Southend I think? Personally I don’t think Salford would be that much of a draw, out of all the ties in the first round we must have been one of the more unimaginative ones! Probably a combination of all the factors you mentioned. But...

Re: Paul McCallum

Not a clue what happened after the red card but I can almost guarantee that even if it did constitute a further 2 match ban, McCallum will be in the vast minority of players that are punished for it. Bit of consistency, and a lack of shitness, is all I’d ask for from referees at this level. But we c...
