Re: Boreham Wood

Yesterday really was dreadful, it was like watching us a year ago. I hope Vilhete isn’t injured as we saw how much we miss him. I don’t mind Ling, but when he went over to left wing back he was pretty useless for us. Not sure why DM made that decision. Quite rightfully we are questioning how good ou...

Re: Solihull (H)

Was gutted I missed it but did appear to be a shocking crowd of just 1100 home fans. Is it true the PA guy played bubbles at the end of the game? I do remember thinking “why the f*** are they playing this shit” after the match. Hoping it was a mistake related to the womens’ game today. As for the c...

Re: Whisper it quietly

Very good performance again despite going 1-0 down. When you average 3 goals a game you will struggle to lose you’d hope

Re: Wrexham our biggest test?

Small margins today with the draw probably fair but given the money spent did they look likely to win the division, I think not. We have two home games on the trot so very easy to put right today. Chesterfields fixtures have been pretty kind so far and they have tough games to follow. The early goa...

Re: Wrexham our biggest test?

If there is a time to play Wrexham away it’s right now, so I am a bit hopeful we can get something today. McMahon isn’t the sort of person to go anywhere and sit back looking for a point, and I do admire that about him. But we really do need to be a different outfit in defence today. Crosses and thr...

Re: Weymouth (H)

What is the accepted point at which we can start getting excited? 10 games? 15? 6? Really wish I could watch the games. Such a shame we lost the live stream. I would say see how we are at the end of October, by then we would have played all the “favourites” at their places. By then Chesterfield wou...

Re: King's Lynn

Really was a game of two halves. If King’s Lynn had better strikers we would be losing that match after how the first 45 went. Phipps wasn’t ready to start and Saunders isn’t a defender, but I think both tried to do as well as they could so you can’t fault the individuals. But yeah we definitely nee...

Re: Wealdstone

It was a weird refereeing performance. He got some big calls spot on (first half booking, their dive etc) but he also fell for the oldest tricks in the book at times. I think it’s a lesson learned today that we need to play nasty every now and then when other teams are taking advantage of these refs...

Re: Wealdstone

Seconded. We can’t get ahead of ourselves as we know how unpredictable teams can be in this league, but really we should be now looking at going into the Wrexham game with 18 points.

Re: Barnet (A)

I heard before the match Saturday that a win then would be the first season opening with 2 wins. Now with three wins to start the season I have to ask when was this last accomplished? Way to go Daggers. Funnily enough the last time we did this we went on to get promoted to League One. Make of that ...

Re: Bromley

A great performance. Can’t work Bromley out, they played some good football but both of their goals were total giveaways by us. Can’t complain when we’re winning but we do need to switch on in defence at times. Weston was outstanding today, made their left back look a fool from the moment he got the...

Re: New Season

The B&D Post reported a while ago that we were close to signing Blair over a week ago, and usually they’re not wrong with that stuff. I think any new signings like him are already done deals and we just aren’t going to announce it until later next week. Hopefully just Blair and a solid centre ha...
