Re: York City (Home)
It's a shame that people are already turning on Strevs. I’m not calling for Strevs’ head as it stands, but this is a preposterous statement. Did you forget what happened from around October - Christmas Day last season? He is lucky that the last owners were idiots and he is still here. Strevs has to...

Re: Keenan Appiah-Forson
All a lot of rumours flying around. But from what I’ve heard it’s fully him that messed up and not us. We offered the money, the playing time and everything else. But he wanted more and when he realised he couldn’t get that elsewhere he came back to us but we said no. Silly kid who needs to learn hi...

Re: Southend Away
Such a frustrating result. We deserved to win, but we also didn’t. It was our fault that we didn’t win that. Defence was pretty solid throughout but where we struggled for most of the match was keeping the ball and making our breaks count. So many times the ball goes up to Morias & RGC only to c...

Re: Woking (a) Thread
Couple of reactionary thoughts to that: 1) Rendall is not right back and hasn’t looked one for a while 2) Ling is a right back and has looked a very good one for an even longer while 3) Someone should introduce Ryan Hill & Frank Vincent tomorrow at training. If they get to know each other they c...

Re: Rochdale (a) Thread
Happy take a point from that. Sounds like we were really on the back foot for most of the match and the plan was to rely on individual brilliance to get us through. Definitely agree we need a bigger number 9 than RGC. We could see this from Wealdstone, and hopefully Umerah is the answer. I think we ...

Re: Rochdale (a) Thread
Would happily take a draw from tomorrow given how they started last week. Tough decision for us to pick who starts down the middle. Tbh neither RGC or Morias look fully fit, and I doubt Umerah is either. So hopefully whoever starts is replaced at 60 and we can really make the most out of our strong ...

Re: Wealdstone (H)
Opening day win we can’t ask for more than that. Could have scored another 2 with the efforts that somehow hit the post. Then add to that the Morias penalty that was not given. The win was narrow and hard fault, but it also could have been an easy day in the office for us. As an aside, I was in the ...

Re: Wealdstone (H)
2-0 PK and Remy. Should be a really good game for us to start this season

Re: 2024-2025 Season starting 10 August 2024
This season is impossible to call, but I think anything below 10th should be deemed a failure. However I think it’s clear that injuries to PK, Lawless, Greco-Cox, Umerah are not unlikely and could derail us massively. If we’re lucky with injuries then I do fancy us to do well. I would still like to ...

Re: Appiah Forson
Let’s say we sign him and pay him much more than anyone else which would be the case, is that good for team morale? We went down the spend spend spend route and failed, I like how the new owners are doing it, if you’re not committed enough jog on. Would I love KAF here absolutely I would but to bre...

Re: Appiah Forson
If this rumour is true then couldn’t give a flying fook what circumstances he was or is under when negotiating with the club. We are much better off with him in our team, despite signing N’Guessan, and that’s all I care about. If he earns a lot when here, then fair play he is arguably our best playe...

Re: Junior returns
If we can keep him fit and keep Cox & Umerah fit then there’s no reason why we cannot have one of the best attacks in the league this year. This season will come down to how we keep the squad fit, as always, but I really do believe we are one midfielder and a left back cover away from having a s...

Re: Programme
I think Taylor’s recruitment when we were close to going under had some good finds in it. Will Wright, Onariase, Goodliffe, and Wilkinson were quality loans. With all apart from Wilkinson coming from nowhere beforehand. Has good connections too, having managed half of the EFL, I think he can be a sc...

Re: Fixtures
Agreed that is a very tough start to the season. We got pre-season very wrong last year, we really cannot afford to let that happen again. Looks like Appiah-Forson is on trial with Exeter so that dream is dead for us, need to find a another replacement for him very soon in my opinion. N’Guessan is ...
